Life Story & Timeline

In February 2020, she was called up to Spain’s squad for her first senior international tournament opportunity, the 2020 SheBelieves Cup. She started the first two matches of the tournament, a 3-1 win against Japan and a narrow 0-1 loss to the United States.

She made her senior debut on May 17, 2019, in a friendly match against Cameroon, substituting in for Eunate Arraiza. As expected, she didn’t make the 23-player roster for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Batlle’s signing with Levante became official in June 2018 and she was presented a month later. That season, she scored her first Primera División goal in a 4-2 win over Logroño.

In the summer of 2017, Barcelona underwent a transformative period and their advanced sporting project made it more difficult for youth players to break out to the first team. After six seasons, she left Barcelona along with seven other La Masia players to grow and pursue top-flight football. She says she does not rule out a return to the club that “formed her.”

Batlle signed to Madrid CFF in July 2017, their first signing after their promotion to the Primera División. Her first match for Madrid was during their Primera División debut, substituting on for Irene del Rio at halftime. Not soon after, she settled into regular starts as Madrid CFF ended with a mid-table finish of tenth place. Batlle played 28 of the 30 league matches, 26 of those matches being starts.

In July 2017, Batlle was called by Pedro López to represent Spain at the 2017 UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship. Spain won the tournament thanks to a stoppage time goal from Patri Guijarro that also qualified them for the upcoming 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. She was selected to the squad of the tournament along with six other Spanish players.

Batlle represented Spain at the 2016 UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship where Spain finished as runners-up, automatically qualiying them for the 2016 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. She played every minute of the knockouts of that tournament as Spain finished third behind North Korea and Japan.

Batlle also represented Spain at the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, where they had an under-performing tournament and exited in the quarterfinals against eventual winner North Korea.

After Spain’s unsuccessful 2016 campaign, Battle was called up again to the next edition of the tournament two years later. She only ended up playing one match at the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup due to an injury she sustained against Paraguay that ended her tournament. Teammate Patri Guijarro dedicated her goal against the United States to Batlle by holding up her shirt to the camera and the fans. Spain exited the group on top and ended as runners-up, losing 1-3 to Japan in the final.

The first club where she played football was Vilassar de Mar. In 2011, she was scouted by FC Barcelona during a match with the Catalonia under-12 team. She joined FC Barcelona’s youth program La Masia and progressed through the ranks of the club before ending up at Barcelona B in 2014, Barcelona’s highest-level youth team.
