Edelsten’s controversial career
Edelsten started his career as a doctor but was disenrolled in NSW and Victoria due to his unconventional medical practices.
Color GP later formed Allied Medical Group with a business partner in the 2000s.
Edelsten made headlines for his fast-paced lifestyle, which included a fleet of Rolls-Royce and relationships with younger women.
His tumultuous three-year marriage to her ex-wife Leanne Nesbitt ended in 1988.
The flamboyant entrepreneur married fitness trainer Brynne Gordon in a $3.3 million wedding in November 2009 at Melbourne’s Crown Casino that hosted 550 guests, including Seinfeld star Jason Alexander.
Margot Robbie, Kerri-Anne Kennerley and American actress Fran Drescher also attended the flamboyant wedding.
The couple’s 41-year age gap was frowned upon, but Gordon insisted that he marry for love, not money.
However, Edelstens divorced in 2014.
Edelsten later married 26-year-old Gabi Grecko in 2015.
A tribute to Edelsten
Former Swans player Greg Williams told 3AW: “I was shocked. This is very sad news. It brings back wonderful memories from the swans.”
Former Carlton actor David Rhys-Jones told the Saturday Herald Sun: “I went to Brynne’s wedding. It was a little different and he loved the game. He grew up not far from Princes Park and used to go to games with his mother.
“I always saw him at corporate events and he was just a big supporter of Carlton”.
